Gamcha heart

Fine hand-sewn fabric hearts, sewn from gamcha scarves.

In India, gamche scarves are typically worn by agricultural workers as headwear.

However, masala stitches the hearts of new gamchas - not used ones.

We sew hearts in Calcutta in collaboration with a fair trade project, handmade by women in villages around Kolkata

The hearts measure approx. 5 cm and there are 6 in the bag.
