This large kantha shawl is a beautiful example of traditional Indian craftsmanship – sewn from double layers of vintage silk saris and hand-embroidered using the ancient kantha technique. 

Each shawl is composed of various vintage silk sari fabrics, creating a unique patchwork of colors and patterns. The double layer provides structure, body, and extra warmth, while the kantha hand-embroidery holds the layers together and adds texture and character.

The natural properties of silk make the shawl soft and comfortable against the skin, while remaining airy and easy to wear.
