PPWR

PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) is the EU's new packaging regulation which comes into force on 12 August 2026 and replaces the previous packaging directive. 

The purpose is to reduce the amount of packaging waste, increase reuse and recycling, and create uniform rules for packaging throughout the EU.

Packaging that MASALA puts on the market will hereafter be purchased in Denmark. We use local suppliers and refer to their Declaration of Conformity (DoC) for packaging tape, cardboard, paper bags, and plastic. 

However, goods we have in stock from before 12 August 2026, packed in plastic from our Indian suppliers, can still be put on the market as long as stocks last.
